Special Education Teacher Opportunities –Nottoway, VA
(Two Openings Available –PK–4 or Grades 5–6)

Position Overview
We are seeking passionate Special Education Teachers to support students within structured and supportive classroom environments. These are on-site roles with interviews scheduling now and a January 5 start date.
Opening #1: PK–4th Grade Special Education Teacher
Classroom Model: Inclusion + Self-Contained
Caseload: Approx. 7 students
•Mix of 1st, 2nd, and 4th graders

Student Needs:
Verbal and non-verbal support needs, behavioral challenges including aggression, and individualized learning requirements.
Opening #2: Intermediate Special Education Teacher (Grades 5–6)
Caseload: Approx. 7–8 students
•Mixed communication and behavioral support needs
•Classroom-based role focused on student engagement and skill development
Assignment Details
Start Date: January 5
End Date: June 5
Temp-to-Perm Track —continuation through next school year possible
Guaranteed Hours: 35–37.5 per week
Leadership team is OOO beginning December 19 —interviews are being booked before and after this date

Required Qualifications
Active Virginia Special Education Teaching License
Experience supporting students with behavioral or communication needs preferred
Strong instructional, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
