Now Hiring: Special Education Teacher –Full-Time | West Chicago, IL
Caseload Options: Elementary, or Middle School
New Graduates Welcome | Must Have LBS1 License or Pending

Phaxis Education is seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school team in West Chicago, Illinois. This full-time, contract role is open to educators with active or pending LBS1 licensure. Caseload will be matched based on your experience and preference.

Special Education Teacher Job –Key Details
  • Location: West Chicago
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Caseload: Elementary, or Middle School
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
  • Modify curriculum to meet student learning styles and abilities
  • Support behavior management using positive interventions
  • Collaborate with general education staff and related service teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings, data tracking, and parent communication
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA and district special education standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education
  • Active or pending Illinois LBS1 license (required)
  • Previous school experience preferred, not required
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
