Pay rate $90-95/hr W2

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Application Analyst (SAA) with Epic Beacon certification to lead and support upgrade activities within the Beacon module. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the upgrade lifecycle, including system build, testing and validation, change control coordination, and go-live support. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with clinical workflows, especially in oncology.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Upgrade Planning & Execution
 

  • Lead and coordinate Beacon upgrade projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise upgrade timelines and clinical requirements.

  • Perform detailed build activities based on release notes, system changes, and enhancement opportunities.

  • Conduct system testing and validation, including unit testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Analyze, document, and resolve issues discovered during testing in collaboration with clinical and technical teams.

  • Create and manage change orders following defined change management protocols and governance processes.

Go-Live & Post-Upgrade Support
 

  • Participate in go-live readiness activities while maintaining communications with the Beacon team.

  • Provide virtual support during go-live to assist end users and resolve issues promptly.

  • Monitor post-upgrade system performance and coordinate follow-up actions as needed.

Technical and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with other Epic module analysts (e.G., Willow, Ambulatory) to ensure seamless integration and workflow continuity.

  • Partner with trainers and end-users to validate that new features and updates meet operational needs.

  • Participate in ongoing application maintenance, optimization, and support tasks as required.

  • Document all build changes, testing outcomes, and go-live activities according to organizational standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Epic Beacon certification (current)

  • 3+ years of experience supporting Epic Beacon in a clinical or technical role

  • Strong understanding of upgrade workflows, change control processes, and system validation

  • Hands-on experience with Beacon build, including treatment plans, regimens, and associated clinical workflows

  • Proven ability to interpret technical documentation and apply it to clinical systems

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional Epic certifications (e.G., Ambulatory, Willow)

  • Prior involvement in large-scale Epic upgrades or implementation projects

  • Background in clinical oncology, pharmacy, or healthcare IT
