PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT Opening!
We are seeking a dedicated PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT to join our team. The candidate must have a DEA License, Medicare & Medicaid IDs, and be bilingual in Spanish. Homecare experience is preferred, or the willingness to engage in homecare is required. 
Location: Queens, NY Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8: 00 am - 5: 00 pm (1-hour lunch) Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Oversee the medical care and treatment of patients, supporting the care rendered by the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality, cost, and utilization of care for site participants.
  • Carry a caseload of patients as the primary care provider and participate in direct medical care in the DTC.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team activities, including case conferences and family meetings.
  • Develop and supervise the provision of ambulatory medical services.
  • Facilitate medical education programs for staff, trainees, and students.
  • Conduct patient assessments and treatments in various settings, including DTC and home visits.
  • Participate in developing preventive health screening and community outreach programs.
Qualifications Include:
  • Current active and unrestricted NYS Physician Assistant License.
  • NY DEA registration.
  • NCCPA Board Certification.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Diploma in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent experience.
  • Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Practice required.
  • Experience in geriatrics and palliative care preferred.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with a frail or elderly population, or appropriate training upon hiring.
