Optician III –Vision Health $24–$28/Hour | Experienced Optical Professional
Ready to take your optical career to the next level?

We’re looking for an experienced Optician III to join a patient-focused vision care team. This role is ideal for an optical professional who combines strong technical knowledge with exceptional patient service and enjoys helping both patients and fellow team members succeed.

If you have 3–5 years of optical experience, hold an ABO certification, and enjoy sharing your knowledge with newer Opticians, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
As an Optician III, you'll provide personalized optical services while helping create an exceptional patient experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Review prescriptions and help patients select eyewear based on their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal preferences

  • Provide knowledgeable, honest recommendations on frames, lenses, and optical products

  • Build strong relationships with patients through outstanding customer service

  • Work toward sales goals while keeping patient needs at the center of every interaction

  • Manage and maintain frame and eyewear inventory

  • Perform eyewear adjustments and repairs

  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff regarding prescription questions and patient needs

  • Support and mentor newer Opticians by sharing optical knowledge and best practices

  • Help maintain an organized, professional, and patient-focused optical environment
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for an experienced optical professional who is knowledgeable, approachable, organized, and comfortable taking on a leadership role within the team.

Qualifications include:

  • 3–5 years of optical experience

  • ABO certification preferred

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Professional phone etiquette

  • Warm, approachable demeanor

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing patient and practice needs

  • Willingness to learn, grow, and share knowledge with others

  • Ability to coach and support newer members of the optical team

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.
