About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Instructional Assistant / Paraprofessional to join our elementary team for the school year. This role supports students with special education needs both in the general education classroom and in substantially separate settings.

The ideal candidate will bring patience, empathy, and strong collaboration skills to work alongside teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success.
Responsibilities

  • Provide direct classroom support for students with special needs

  • Assist in general education and substantially separate classrooms

  • Support small group and 1: 1 instruction under teacher guidance

  • Help implement behavior and academic support strategies

  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and organized classroom environment

  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student growth
Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in education or special education preferred

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to adapt to varying student needs and learning environments

  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required

  • Passion for supporting children’s academic and social-emotional growth

  • New grads with relevant childcare/education experience encouraged to apply


Location: Avon, MA (Elementary setting)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (32.5–35 hours per week)
