Location: Washington, DC
Pay Rate: $40–$45 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Start Date: ASAP –Immediate Need
School Year: 2025–2026

Position Overview
Phaxis Education is now scheduling interviews for an Inclusion STEM Teacher (9–12) in the Washington, DC area for an immediate start. This is a great opportunity to support high school students in inclusive STEM classrooms while collaborating closely with general education teachers and support staff.

We’re looking for a teacher who is passionate about:

  • Supporting diverse learners in Math and Science / STEM settings

  • Co-teaching and pushing into general education classrooms

  • Ensuring all students can access grade-level content in an inclusive environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specially designed instruction and accommodations within inclusion STEM (Math/Science) classrooms for grades 9–12

  • Co-teach with general education STEM teachers to deliver engaging, standards-based lessons

  • Support students’academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs through data-driven strategies

  • Implement and monitor IEP goals, modifications, and accommodations

  • Maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements

  • Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school teams to support student success

  • Contribute meaningfully to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning sessions

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes curiosity and persistence in STEM

Requirements

  • Preferred Valid Teaching License in Washington, DC (or eligibility to obtain) - not required

    • Special Education, Secondary Math, Science, or related area preferred

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, STEM Education, or related field

  • Experience working in a high school setting and/or inclusion model preferred

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills

  • Comfort supporting a range of learners in rigorous STEM content

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. Without sponsorship

Job Details

  • Contract Type: School-year placement (Immediately–June 2026)

  • Grade Levels: 9–12

  • Setting: Inclusion STEM classrooms (Math/Science), with co-teaching and push-in support

  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Drew Anson is Chief Delivery Officer at Phaxis, a Workforce Solutions Company based in New York.

In this role, Drew leads the delivery and recruiting working closely with the leadership team to define a model that is efficient at supporting the firm s current needs and is scalable for future growth.

Drew is a seasoned executive with more than 13 years of Services & Recruitment experience. In that time, he has supported numerous Fortune 100/500/1000 organizations across industries by providing global workforce solutions, namely resources and thought leadership for large-scale projects, implementations, and managed services.

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.
