Job Overview
Our nonprofit client in Harlem, NYC is seeking a strategic leader to oversee their Human Resources department. Reporting to the President and CEO, this role involves designing and managing HR systems to support a sustainable business model, aligning HR strategies with organizational goals, and fostering a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead HR initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership and the board to meet organizational objectives.
  • Develop strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and development to support the organization's mission.
  • Oversee HR functions including compensation, benefits, recruitment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and present reports to the board and stakeholders as needed.
  • Support the overall mission and strategic goals as directed by senior leadership.

  • Track record of fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Membership in HR professional organizations preferred;multi-lingual skills are a plus.
