Job Description


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at a homeless shelter. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness, helping them to access the resources and services they need to achieve stability and independence.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the needs and goals of clients.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans in collaboration with clients.
  • Coordinate with local agencies and service providers to connect clients with necessary resources, such as housing, healthcare, and employment opportunities.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting service plans as needed.
  • Advocate for clients within the community and with service providers to ensure they receive appropriate support.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with homeless populations or in a social services setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to client interactions.
  • Familiarity with community resources and services available to homeless populations.
