Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Southbridge, MA
Pay Rate: $40–$50 per hour + benefits

As a K–12 school-based Special Education Teacher in Southbridge, MA, your role will include:

  • Delivering specially designed instruction and accommodations to students with disabilities

  • Developing, writing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for your caseload

  • Collaborating with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and support inclusion

  • Conducting formal and informal assessments to evaluate student progress

  • Providing both push-in and pull-out services as outlined in each student’s IEP

  • Communicating regularly with families, therapists, and support staff to foster student success

  • Ensuring compliance with IDEA and Massachusetts special education regulations

Job Details

  • Position: Contract (with option to renew) in a school setting

  • Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon–Fri)

  • Caseload: Standard district caseload of 12–15 students (IEP development, direct instruction, progress monitoring)

Successful Candidates Possess

  • A valid Massachusetts teaching license with a Special Education endorsement (required)

  • Experience in a special education classroom or related setting (preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and behavior intervention strategies

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. Without sponsorship

Drew Anson is Chief Delivery Officer at Phaxis, a Workforce Solutions Company based in New York.

Drew is a seasoned executive with more than 13 years of Services & Recruitment experience. In that time, he has supported numerous Fortune 100/500/1000 organizations across industries by providing global workforce solutions, namely resources and thought leadership for large-scale projects, implementations, and managed services.

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
