Job Title: Senior Accountant
Hybrid Role. Onsite Tuesday, Wed, Thurs. Will be 4 days onsite come Sept.

Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented, TEAM player with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills. The Senior Accountant should exercise independent judgment to critically evaluate processes and provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff as needed.

Essential Duties
  • Prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations/analyses as assigned;post journal entries
  • Complete close activities within prescribed deadlines
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure business acumen for assigned areas is developed and considered within the monthly analyses
  • Approach assigned work with intellectual curiosity and exercise professional judgement where escalations are needed
  • Prepare quarterly fluctuation analysis for assigned accounts
  • Support tax and audit requests in a timely manner
  • Prepare budget support for assigned accounts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting
  • Support testing activities related to existing software enhancements and new software implementations
  • Create/modify process documentation as appropriate
  • Support Accounting Manager and Finance leadership with ad-hoc requests

Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required;CPA preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience within an Accounting or Finance environment, public accounting experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., SAP, Peoplesoft)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Healthy respect for deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
