Job Description

Title: Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
Location: Rockford, IL

Phaxis is working with a school district in the Rockford, IL area. We are looking for an on-site Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to work 1: 1 with a student. More details about the Rockford, IL Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) job is below. 

Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Job Details
  • Hours: Full-time near Rockford, IL
  • Caseload: Elementary, Middle, and High School options
Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Job Requirements 
  • An active or pending ISBE Approval or IDHHC (required)
  • Experience in a pediatric or school setting (preferred)
  • 3.5+ EIPA (Strongly Preferred) or Provisional License (required) 
  • The ability to work in the U.S. Without a sponsor (required)
Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Job Responsibilities 
  • Facilitating communication with students and educators
  • Ensuring students have necessary access to curriculum, discussions, and peer interactions by accurately conveying instructional content and conversations
  • Working closely with teachers, special education staff, and other school personnel to support student learning needs and classroom participation

Drew Anson is Chief Delivery Officer at Phaxis, a Workforce Solutions Company based in New York.

Drew is a seasoned executive with more than 13 years of Services & Recruitment experience. In that time, he has supported numerous Fortune 100/500/1000 organizations across industries by providing global workforce solutions, namely resources and thought leadership for large-scale projects, implementations, and managed services.

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
