This school-based position serves K–12 students, offering a vital role in supporting social-emotional development, mental health, and academic success. Social Worker Position Overview •Schedule: Full-time, part-time candidates will also be considered
•Caseload: Openings available at the elementary, middle, and high school levels
•Location: Onsite role in Rockford, Illinois schools
Responsibilities School Social Worker in Rockford IL •Conduct student evaluations and mental health assessments through observations, interviews, and formal assessments
•Create and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with student needs
•Provide counseling services and crisis intervention related to trauma, bullying, family stress, or behavior challenges
•Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student development
•Serve as a liaison between school staff and community services when appropriate
•Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and behavior support planning
•Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and district policies
School Social Worker Qualifications •Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
•Active or pending Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work endorsement
•Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
•Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
•Licensed new graduates are welcome to apply

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
