Job Description

Behavioral Health Clinitian
Fulltime Day - Nights and weekends as needed

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in behavioral health care field required;Florida LMHC/LCSW preferred

Special Skills: Substance abuse counseling experience;case management knowledge;strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service

Provides oversight of specified program;assumes administrative duties of program;restores or develops client's ability to function substance-free by assessing the client's situation, setting goals and providing required services.
Position Duties:

  1. Coordinates clinical services of assignment programs, including scheduling and assigning employees and monitoring work assignments. Keeps the supervisor informed.

  2. Monitors clinical service delivery and client dynamics of assigned programs. Addresses client behavior concerns as appropriate.

  3. Obtains assistance for clients by referring him/her to community resources.

  4. Fosters client's action or adjustment by interpreting attitudes and patterns of behavior.

  5. Maintains client records by documenting client's situation and client's own actions;accurately completes required paperwork procedures.

  6. Maintains operations by following policies, procedures, rules and regulations;participating in quality reviews;reporting needed changes.

  7. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation;enforcing adherence to requirements;advising management on needed actions.

  8. Facilitate Groups;participate in staff and house meetings may be required.

  9. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping client information confidential;following established confidentiality policy and procedures;maintaining professional boundaries with clients.

  10. Maintains inter- and intradepartmental work flow by fostering a spirit of cooperation.
