Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Medical Director to lead our cutting-edge veterinary hospitals across several locations. This is an exciting leadership opportunity in a hospital setting, offering a collaborative environment with access to specialty and emergency care teams, the latest equipment, and ongoing education support.

As Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the medical culture, managing the doctor team, and guiding the clinical operations of the hospital while partnering with an experienced administrative team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a clinical and cultural leader in collaboration with the Hospital Director
  • Oversee all medical services, including hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and performance management of doctors
  • Manage clinical workflows and ensure delivery of high-quality care
  • Participate in operational and capital budget planning
  • Lead initiatives in referral partner engagement and community outreach
  • Address escalated patient care and client issues as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement and uphold the core values of Teamwork, Leadership, and Compassion

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid veterinary license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in a veterinary setting
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Board-certified specialists or ER veterinarians with leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to lead through change and manage growth

Drew Anson is Chief Delivery Officer at Phaxis, a Workforce Solutions Company based in New York.

Drew is a seasoned executive with more than 13 years of Services & Recruitment experience. In that time, he has supported numerous Fortune 100/500/1000 organizations across industries by providing global workforce solutions, namely resources and thought leadership for large-scale projects, implementations, and managed services.

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
